The Other Left Hand Gallery

The Other Left Hand Gallery is a mobile art gallery worn on the right talon of the Director/Curator of the the Other Left Hand Gallery, Sydney Vermont. Since its inception in December 2000, it has hosted two exhibitions: a solo exhibition by Sydney Vermont and a solo exhibition by Shary Boyle. Artwork must be made on a set of press on nails. They will be worn for one week or at the Director/Curator's leisure as negotiated with exhibiting artist. Director/Curator Vermont will provide nails and also keep them after the show to document and display at leisure. The Other Left Hand Gallery will exhibit only ten exhibitions in its lifetime, at which point the gallery will transform into a mobile jewelry box gallery to display its permanent collection.
