Marlene Yuen How the Project Started:
This project started a year ago when fellow co-workers (who also happen to be artists and members of the OR) Emma Somers and Elizabeth Zvonar had an "office challenge". We challenged each other to make a piece of art on work time with our office supplies. My project involved various photocopied items such as elastic bands and paperclips, but somehow we never really got the chance to launch "office challenge". The whole idea kinda fizzled and we seemed to forgotten about it. I wanted to really do something with my photocopy images and when I heard about the mobile gallery I thought maybe I could fit it all into a Rolodex. I have been collecting Rolodexes for a couple of years as I have noticed that people at work have been throwing them away...I always dreamed that they could be some kind of work of art...For example, could a spinning Rolodex be used as an animation piece? The Rolodex is definitely a new and ongoing project that I intend to work on during work time and with office materials. Artists, Curators, Collaborators, Conspirators:
