Reading Group

Land + Place

9 January
27 November 2021

The Land + Place reading group meets one Saturday a month to discuss the poetics and politics of land, place, diaspora, and migration. Land + Place aims to support artistic and curatorial engagement by creating a virtual community space for thinking through these concepts. Participants of all levels and experiences are welcome, and discussions are led by Or Gallery curatorial resident Kitt Peacock.

To register for the reading group, please RSVP to kitt@orgallery.org.

Updates on reading lists and meeting dates can be found here.

Participant Bios

is one of Or Gallery’s curators-in-residence for 2021. Their research considers themes of land, place, and diaspora through multiple projects at the Or, including a speaker series, critical writing practice, and the Land + Place reading group. In particular, Kitt’s work considers the ways that nomadic movement complicates our relationships to place, and how we might consider new and old ways of connecting to the lands we move through.
