Or Gallery invites its community to join us in celebrating the 2025 Holi Festival from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
This public program will be hosted in honour of the South-Asian Festival Holi. Holi is a festival celebrated by many South-Asian communities around the world. Traditional commemorations include merrymaking centered around throwing coloured powder (gulal) and water on one another. Often, patios and homes are adorned with displays and patterned drawings made with a similar coloured powder (rangoli). This festival marks the bloom of spring, bridging community, enacting forgiveness, and strengthening relationships. Holi has been celebrated in Vancouver by the South-Asian diaspora for many years.
Or Gallery will be serving Indian sweets to the community from our street-front bookstore between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, March 15. Please come by the gallery to celebrate the traditional festival of Holi!
