The Or Gallery is proud to take part in Printed Matter’s second annual LA Art Book Fair, from January 31 through February 2, 2014, at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. An opening will be held on the evening of Thursday, January 30.

Free and open to the public, the LA Art Book Fair is a unique event for artists’ books, art catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines presented by over 250 international presses, booksellers, antiquarians, artists, and independent publishers.

The Or will be presenting the LA launch of Guilty, 1950 (2010), a newly released photographic edition by Vancouver artist Stan Douglas from the artist’s acclaimed Midcentury Studio series.

The Or Gallery is also launching a new edition of  Ten Shows, an artist book by Barb Choit published in collaboration with Black Dog Publishing, London.

Other recent Or Gallery publications include Vancouver Anthology, edited by Stan Douglas (co-published with Talonbooks), Cockatoo Island by Ron Terada (with Bywater Bros.), 12 Sun Songs (LP) by Crainfield & Slade (with Christoph Keller Editions/JRP Ringier), Night Shift (LP) by Brady Crainfield and Jamie Hilder, and Exercises in Kinesthetic Drawing and Other Drawing by Aaron Carpenter
