New York artist Danica Phelps uses the barter system in order to properly assess the value of art in the everyday, and the everyday in art. For her artist’s project at the Or Gallery, Phelps has initiated a chain of exchange with local artists using her drawings as trade. Her accumulated trade is exhibited alongside ‘Xeroxes’ of her departed work.
